Ritz Paris Wedding Invitation

A chic destination wedding in Paris calls for an invitation that will entice guests and give them a first impression of the celebrations to come. For Olivia and Ryan, we created a beautiful invitation inspired by Parisian style and the house of Dior. The invitation is enclosed in a luxurious folder that is hand wrapped in personalized satin ribbon which was custom engraved in France. The invitation itself features letterpress and gold foil printing and a hand illustrated crest.

Design Exploratory

We started with different configurations and structures for how the invitation card would be presented, from folders to more decorative wraps. One of the objectives was an invitation that had lots of white space and a luxe look so we made sure to leave room for white space while also elongating the invitation slightly so it had a tall and sleek silhouette.

Refinements

Once we determined the design direction, it was very important to explore all options and nuances. With a design that is as simple and minimalist as this, the placement of every single element was important to consider. From the amount of white space between the ‘Olivia & Ryan’ repeater on the ribbon, to how the invitation was presented upon opening the envelope.

The Ritz Paris is among one of the most iconic venues in Paris so we decided to sketch the venue so that it could be used on some of the accessory stationery pieces such as wedding day items. We also extended the invitation look and feel to the rest of the pieces in the suite with our focus being on clean and elegant typography.

At the end of the creative process, after all edits and refinements are made, the full suite comes to life in the hands of our expert team of printers and craftsmen.
