Watercolor Floral Wedding Invitation

A romantic yet altogether timeless wedding invitation suite featuring a floral illustrated wrap that surrounds a beautiful charcoal and gold invitation card. We also custom designed a custom coat of arms with flowers to complement the delicate flowers on the wrap. The invitation incorporates the flowers throughout the suite printed either in full color or in gold foil.

Sketches

We created a range of designs all incorporating soft watercolor illustrated florals. At first, we created a rough pencil sketch of a few potential illustration styles and layouts before rendering a final painting in watercolors.

We also explored a range of invitation wrap covers with motifs that perfectly matched the couple’s choice of illustration style. The couple loved the idea of including a wine red wax seal to add an old world element to the suite.

The floral illustration was further refined and extended into a beautiful and bold pattern that extended fully into the interior of the wrap. We also made sure that all the colors used in the illustration matched the wedding colors.

DESIGN REFINEMENT

Once the look and feel were defined, we embarked on the process of extending the design to all the pieces in the invitation suite. We incorporated watercolor and engraved florals throughout the suite from reply cards to envelopes.

The couple wanted to include envelope liners as well so we experimented with patterns in a variety of powdery tones for an elegant finish.

At the end of the creative process, after all edits and refinements are made, the full suite comes to life in the hands of our expert team of printers and craftsmen.
