Andrew Mellon Auditorium Wedding in Washington DC

The Andrew Mellon Auditorium is one of the most majestic venues in all of Washington DC, from its magnificent architecture and interior to its rich history it is truly the perfect space that embodies the grandeur of the country’s capital. Andrea and Chris chose Memorial Day Weekend to celebrate the wedding festivities. The weekend kicked off on Friday night with a “roast and toast” at the couple’s home, complete with a giant pig roast, buffet and drinks. They then chose to host their rehearsal dinner at Café Milano in Georgetown as a nod to the bride’s Italian heritage. The ceremony was celebrated at the St. Regis Hotel which was adorned with lush foliage and blooms.

For the reception, guests were invited to a happy hour tour of the terrace with cocktails in hand before being escorted to the Andrew Mellon Auditorium for dinner and dancing. The beautiful decor within the space was designed by SoCo Events and Amaryllis Floral and Events who incorporated different elements and textures like glass, crystal and wood to the space for a unique and memorable effect. For the wedding invitations and stationery, we combined printing methods and textures such as delicate lace detailing, foil stamping and lush letterpress printing on luxurious cotton and shimmer papers. The spectacular night was captured through the lens of the talented Justine Ungaro Photography Studios.
