New Orleans Wedding Invitation

Kristin & Jeremiah

Inspired by the beautiful city of New Orleans, we were tasked with creating an invitation that had both 1920s glamour and sophistication but also communicated all the important information for guests to know about the wedding. We designed a booklet drawing from the city’s architecture, more notably the wrought iron façades on Bourbon Street and incorporated them in a unique and luxurious way. The suite was accented with rose gold and silver foil touches throughout.

Since we are a studio specializing in custom work, we put together custom pricing for each project. For your convenience, below is a brief summary of the starting prices for both our collection and custom suites:

• $2,000 is the starting price for pre-existing designs for a 4-piece suite in 1-letterpress color. Suites with additional embellishments such as foil stamping, laser cut sleeves, pocket folders, etc. start at a higher price point of $3,000 and up.

• Custom invitations start at $2,750 for a 4-piece suite in 1-letterpress color.

• For budgets in the $1,000 range, many of our designs can be adapted to a economical price point using flat printing.

Note: A 4-piece suite includes Invitation, Reply Card, Outer Envelope and Reply Envelope. However a suite can be customized to your needs. Most pre-existing designs you see, whether it be from our custom page or collection page, can be made into a ready to order set

Custom Process

Our custom process is as unique and creative as our finished pieces themselves. Take a look below to see how we brought our client's vision to life.

The Inspiration

We invite you to explore our inspiration and moodboard for how this New Orleans wedding invitation design came to fruition. You’re also welcome to view our creative process to dig deeper into our exclusive design process.

We began the process by designing a few different takes on a New Orleans meets Art Deco invitation booklet. The couple loved the idea of a book inspired invitation so we explored some different options incorporating ironwork (inspired by New Orleans architecture) and old world 1920s design motifs.

We then presented the couple with a few different options for an Art Deco monogram that included various geometric borders that framed the letters, a style that they favored during our consultations and discussions.

Design Refinements

After selecting a design to move forward with, we explored some book cover alternates for the invitation as well as some wrought iron envelope options.

New Orleans inspired cards and envelopes

One of the cornerstone elements of this suite was the unique booklet format which allowed us to fill it with useful information and details about the wedding weekend. Every page from front to back was designed with this in mind, with the last page being devoted to a decorative map of downtown New Orleans.

We created a custom illustration of the downtown New Orleans with fun, whimsical icons that nodded to the area such as crawfish, trolleys steamboats and jazz music.
