For a chic destination wedding in Mexico, this couple wanted to incorporate beach chic vibes and a little taste of Mexico while still keeping the invitation clean, elegant and timeless. We kept the invitation very simple with crisp letterpress and mother of pearl foil printed on crisp white paper. The set was accentuated with a watercolor painting of the Rosewood Mayakoba as well as a unique crest with a subtle nod to traditional Mexican folk art.

DESIGN EXPLORATORY

We designed a range of invitations and wrap exteriors combining traditional white wedding aesthetics with breezy, beach-chic accents. The couple wanted a watercolor illustration of the Rosewood Mayakoba to be the central focal point so all the other pieces could be more muted and subtle to provide balance to the overall suite.

ILLUSTRATION

Once our sketch of the wedding venue was approved, we painted the final piece with watercolor paints in tropical greens and sandy beach tones.

DESIGN EXTENSION

We tried some different graphic directions for the cover of the folder as well as on the various pieces of the suite to determine the right balance between a formal look and a beachy, Mexico inspired design

CREST

The couple loved the look of a crest that incorporated their culture and backgrounds. We investigated some different animals and settled on a bear and eagle rendered in a Mexican Otomi style.

FINAL DESIGN

At the end of the creative process, after all edits and refinements are made, the full suite comes to life in the hands of our expert team of printers and craftsmen.
