We designed this destination wedding invitation suite to capture the coastal charm and historic romance of Tamarit Castle in Tarragona. The main card combines luminous foil with the quiet texture of letterpress, creating a balance of elegance and artisanal tactility.

The invitation rests inside a wrap adorned with watercolor bougainvillea—an homage to the vibrant botanicals that frame the Mediterranean coastline. Opening it reveals a hand-painted map of Catalonia, tracing a gentle arc from Barcelona to Mallorca to Tarragona, grounding the suite in the geography that shaped the celebration.

Accompanying cards carry subtle nods to the region as well, featuring motifs inspired by local architecture and the signature blue-and-white tiles found throughout Catalonia. Together, the pieces form a cohesive narrative—one that invites guests into the spirit, color, and culture of this remarkable setting.

We begin every map with a detailed pencil sketch to refine the layout, landmarks, and flow before any watercolor touches the page.
