Silver Arabic Wedding Invitation

This couture wedding invitation suite was designed for a royal wedding in Saudi Arabia. We used an assortment of luxury printing techniques such as embossing, laser-cutting, letterpress and silver foils to create a regal design with a touch of opulence, all in Arabic calligraphy. The result is lush and tactile with varying shades of silver spanning a range of materials and finishes.

The Inspiration

Sketches

We began the process with some different invitation directions all centering around the idea of an ultra glamorous, silver damask look and feel. From laser cutting to embossing, we explored some different ways of weaving in ornate arabesque artwork.

Design Extension

After establishing the look and feel of the suite, we started extending the design to other pieces like these small handbag inspired totes that were designed to house multiple invitations.

Monograms

No design is ever complete without a unique monogram which is the centerpiece of the invitation suite. We explored a variety of monograms with Arabic lettering ranging from classic to more ornate styles.

After all the designs were approved, we further refined all aspects of the artwork, reviewing and tweaking it carefully on our computers to make sure every detail was indeed perfect.
