The Inspiration

Gershwin Inspiration

Sketches

We began the process by designing the front and back of the invitation card in a bold Art Deco style that was inspired by our signature Ellington collection. We took the Deco theme to the next level by adding a beautiful backer to the design.

Design Alternates

We explored some different versions of the invitation back with varying levels of complexity to the Art Deco. By laying out our options from simple to more elaborate, we were able to determine the perfect balance.

Design Extension

Once the look and feel were defined, we embarked on the process of extending the design to all the pieces in the invitation suite including the envelopes and reply cards.

Production

After the design was finished and approved, we prepared the artwork for printing and double checked to make sure that everything was perfect from the Art Deco motifs to the smallest details of the monogram.
