Borgo Pignano Tuscany Wedding Invitation

Maggie & Pashk

Created for a celebration at Borgo Pignano, this bespoke wedding suite was designed as a watercolor portrait of the Tuscan countryside and the places woven into the couple’s weekend. The invitation was printed in letterpress with gold foil, paired with hand-painted artwork throughout the suite.

The wrap opens to a panoramic view of the villa at Borgo Pignano, while the envelope liner features a hand-painted interpretation of the frescoes inside the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta in San Gimignano. A watercolor view of San Gimignano appears on the enclosure card, alongside olive branches, cypress trees, and sun-washed landscapes inspired by the surrounding countryside.

Since we are a studio specializing in custom work, we put together custom pricing for each project. For your convenience, below is a brief summary of the starting prices for both our collection and custom suites:

• $2,500 is the starting price for pre-existing designs for a 4-piece suite in 1-letterpress color. Suites with additional embellishments such as foil stamping, laser cut sleeves, pocket folders, etc. start at a higher price point of $3,000 and up.

• Custom invitations start at $3,000 for a 4-piece suite in 1-letterpress color. On average, our clients typically end up spending between $3,000 and $8,000 on custom invitations.

• For budgets in the $1,500 range, many of our designs can be adapted to a economical price point using flat printing.

Note: A 4-piece suite includes Invitation, Reply Card, Outer Envelope and Reply Envelope. However a suite can be customized to your needs. Most pre-existing designs you see, whether it be from our custom page or collection page, can be made into a ready to order set

INSPIRATION

To fully capture the feeling of the wedding weekend, we immersed ourselves in the landscape, architecture, and historic artwork of Tuscany — studying the rolling countryside surrounding Borgo Pignano, the medieval architecture of San Gimignano, and the warm, weathered palette of the region itself. From Renaissance paintings to ivy-covered stone streets, every detail was carefully observed and reinterpreted to bring the atmosphere of the place to life throughout the suite.

DESIGN PROCESS

This suite began at the painting table with studies of the Tuscan landscape and the historic frescoes inside the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta in San Gimignano. From initial pencil sketches to layered watercolor washes, each illustration was painted by hand to capture the warmth, texture, and atmosphere of the couple’s wedding weekend. The sweeping view of Borgo Pignano was developed through soft, luminous watercolor layers, while the fresco-inspired liner artwork was carefully redrawn and reinterpreted by hand to preserve the feeling of the original Renaissance painting.

FINAL DESIGN

At the end of the creative process, after all edits and refinements are made, the full suite comes to life in the hands of our expert team of printers and craftsmen.
