In today’s day and age of technology and busy, bustling lifestyles, it’s refreshing to see couples take the time to slow down and create a special moment for themselves and for their families to remember. We’re also reminded of what matters most to us and all the little things that have brought us together in this important day and stage of our lives. Rachel and Ryan’s big day was nothing short of a fairytale wedding, from the intricate lace wedding gown to the towering white centerpieces. We even created wedding invitations that embodied this magical feel with delicate lace inspired motifs from our Swan Lake design. From the elegant and timeless details to the stunning venue at Cedar Hill, this couple embraced the meaningful spirit and romance of their wedding.

We’re excited to invite you to share in another Behind the Scenes look at our Atelier Isabey signature design process. We’re proud to offer an unparalleled creative firepower within our industry for the development of thoughtful and innovative design to couples seeking unique and cutting edge invitations! We really pride ourselves in digging deep and immersing ourselves in the world of every single wedding we tackle. It’s the most fun part of the process getting inspired by all the fabulous places, themes and styles we get to surround ourselves with!
This week we share the process of creating wedding invitations for Terah and Benoit, a couple who got married at The Eden Rock Hotel on the beautiful and stylish island of Saint Barts. We infused fashion-forward watercolor painting together with deep letterpress printing, sunkissed copper foils and custom-selected luxury materials and the result is nothing short magical! Take a look for yourselves!

As wedding professionals who have been in business for many years, we’ve had the privilege of working and meeting many new people and seeing our clients become our friends (Some have come back years later for baby announcements and new projects). We treat every project with the same attention to detail and every client with the same ‘special-ness’ as we would close friends.
Now when our friends come to us for their invitations, it’s an exciting (albeit a bit daunting) endeavor to transform their dreams into reality. We want everything to be perfect! So when we were contacted by our dear friends Alisa and Neil to design their wedding invitations, we were beyond thrilled. Having been invited to our own wedding, Alisa had even kept her copy of our invitation for reference! Needless to say, we were delighted and were proud to see them take this special step towards becoming husband and wife, and seeing what a gorgeous day they had planned. It always makes a wedding vendor’s job a whole lot easier when the clients they are working for are genuinely kind and nice people and Alisa and Neil were all of the above! Everything from the towering centerpieces by Wildflowers, to Alisa’s Monique Lhuillier gown, to the gorgeous photography by Joseph Pessar were a sight to behold

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year, with the gorgeous harvest colors, fall foliage and comforting seasonal traditions like pumpkin spice lattés, butternut squash soup and caramel apples. At Atelier Isabey we’re always striving to find the most luxurious and avant-garde interpretations of themes throughout life, culture and fashion and the same can be said for our daily and seasonal inspirations.
Today I share some of my favorite gorgeous and very luxe fall inspiration for this year starting with some gorgeous event decor by none other than designer extraordinaire, Preston Bailey, continuing with fashion design by Norma Kamali and stunning china by Vera Wang on Newlywish. Bring on the Fall!

As a wedding professional, I have to say that one of the most rewarding things about my job is the collaborative process I get to participate in with so many other talented designers, artists and vendors. I just love seeing how other creatives approach problems and the design process; it certainly inspires me to work harder and push the creative boundaries of Atelier Isabey beyond our comfort zone. With the wedding of Robyn and Colin, it was amazing to see how everyone came together to bring to life their vision in their own, innovative way. We had the great pleasure of working with our friend Annie Lee of Daughter of Design who took the idea of vintage romance and city chic to a whole new level with her attention to detail and sophisticated style. Our invitation kicked off the first impression with delicate lace paper envelopes and luxe tone on tone letterpress printing. Then, the wedding day was infused with gorgeous, lush florals by Saipua and photographed by the talented Susan Stripling, who captured every moment with her honest and intimate style. Robyn and Colin’s wedding was the result of a great collaborative partnership between the bride and groom and their team of creatives. I think the final result speaks volumes to that!

The resurgence of glamour we’re seeing at the moment hasn’t been limited to European design and ornament (as we’ve seen in yesterday’s Young Baroque feature). Different cultural adaptations are also coming to the forefront during this season’s fashion week. A striking new addition we just observed in the past few days was a more culturally inspired direction taking from India and other cultures from the Far East. Yesterday in the Marchesa show, we witnessed gorgeous jewel toned gowns inspired by wedding saris and incredibly intricate beadwork, a theme we continued to see with many others of my favorite designers like Naeem Khan and even the otherwise muted Carolina Herrera!
